Fixes:
- Conversion -- Fixed an issue where the Group/Plan number and Policy number would switch places.
- NYWC C4 -- Fixed an exception error that could appear while pasting data into this form.
- Attorney Enquiries -- Fixed an issue where the attorney name may not print at the top of the document
- Fee Schedules -- Renamed the Fee Schedules option on the View menu to reflect the same name as shown on the resulting window
- Clinic Totals -- Renamed the Clinic Totals window to reflect the name shown on the A/R Menu
- Statements -- Fixed an issue where a message body may be split onto two or more lines when printed, if a certain number of exclamation points were used.
- SOAP Notes -- Fixed an issue where a patient’s name and/or address may not print on the Prescription form.
- Recall Inactive Patients -- Added an ‘All Doctors’ option to the Doctor dropdown list.
- Calendar -- Fixed an issue where diagnosis entries on a routing slip would print in the incorrect order.
- Edit Posting -- Fixed an issue where an exception error would be caused if the charge/credit or adjustment fields were left blank
- Post Payment -- Fixed an issue where amounts to Add to Patient Portion and amounts to Write Off, would not calculate correctly.
- Doctor Case Pins -- Fixed an issue where an exception error may appear if editing an existing PIN number
- Type Case Report -- Relabeled the Doctor ID and Patient Name columns to correctly match the data that is presented in these columns
- Posting -- Fixed an issue where the ‘Ask Treating Doctor Number while Posting’ option would not prompt for the doctor after entering a charge.
- Referring Doctor -- Fixed an issue where the referring doctor ID or ID Qualifier values could not be changed.
Enhancements:
- Database - Updated the Database backend for new installations to SQL Express 2005 SP2
This change will only affect new 'typical/main computer' installations on PC's running Windows 2000 or higher (including Windows Vista). Due to incompatibilities, Windows 98SE and Windows ME PC's will still install the MSDE2000 database package.
- System Requirements -- Change to system requirements for PC's running Windows 2000 or higher
Due to the change to the SQL Express 2005 Database backend, the minimum system requirements for the Chirosoft program have changed. New requirements are listed at the bottom of this document. Windows 98 and Windows ME users are not affected by these system requirement changes.
- Calendar -- Added the ability to print all doctors for 1 day on a single printed page.
This option is now the default printing option for the calendar. Prior calendar printing options can still be accessed by selecting the print menu option directly to the right of the print icon. By default this new option will display doctor’s 1-5 on the first page. If you have more than 5 doctors setup in your program, you will be then prompted to continue on to doctors 6-10, after the first page has been printed. To maintain formatting, this option only print 15 minute increments. If your calendar is set to intervals of less than 15 minutes, you may see ‘2 appointments’ print on the page, if 2 appointments fall within a 15 minute time period.
- Print Patient File -- Added a scroll bar to the right side of the list, allowing all items to be viewed when the tree is fully expanded.
- Special Occasions -- Expanded filtering options.
Case types can now be specifically included or excluded from the Special Occasions list by using the standard include/exclude filter dialog.
- Diagnosis List -- Added an Order No Column.
This column allows the user to sort the DX list as they wish. Entering a numerical value into this area will cause the program to sort in ascending numerical order. Existing entries on the DX list will NOT contain a sort order value by default, and any entry without an order number value will always be listed first.
- Diagnosis List -- Active Checkbox Removed.
Since the inclusion of the delete option for the diagnosis list, the ability to activate or inactivate DX entries became obsolete. As such this checkbox has been removed from the Diagnosis list.
- Payment Report -- Reorganized the sorting methods for the printed payment report
Patients should now be grouped together better for Current, 30, 60, 90 and 120 days
- Electronic Claims -- Added option to Form/Output section to populate the Payor ID into either box 10D or box 19
Prior to the introduction of the CMS1500 08/05, many clearing houses instructed their customers to populate the Payor ID number into the ‘optional line’ area of the Insurance Company List. With the introduction of the CMS 1500 08/05, that optional line is no longer permitted in the Insurance Carrier section at the top of the claim. As such, this option will take the Payor ID information entered into the payor ID area of the insurance company lookup screen and print it in either Box 10D, or Box 19. (Both Fields are ‘reserved for local use’. You should check with your clearing house to see if they have any preference over which field this data should be entered into.) Any existing data in a patient file for either of these two fields, will take priority over the Payor ID value.
- Claims – Paper Claim Specification changes
In order to conform to specification guidelines laid out by the Nucc, several fields on the CMS 1500 08/05 claim have been changed.
- Claims – Added support for the CMS 1450 UB-04 form.
- Patient File – Replaced the 'UB92' button in the 'Insurance Form' tab to reflect the introduction of the UB-04 Form.
- Posting – Added ‘EPSDT Reason Code’, ‘Supplemental Information’,‘Revenue Code’, and ‘Non-Covered Charge’ columns to the posting screen
These fields have been added to allow for entry into the shaded areas in box 24 on the CMS1500 08/05 (EPSDT Reason Code and Supplemental Information) and for Box 42 and 48 on the UB-04 form. You should check with your insurance carriers to confirm if you need to enter anything into these two areas.
